Gene,

I, too, would like to eliminate the cost/logistics/waste of hard CC
handouts. Unfortunately, there is large segment of the ownership community
who still demand them. With your ideas as a basis, maybe a slow transition
to electronic media could occur...

1. For presenters who are willing, upload their handout material to a
website prior to the owner rally/convention.

2. Continue to provide hard CC handouts for those presenters who withhold
permission to upload their material to a website.

3. On the registration form for the event, advise availability of handout
material at the website - and the time at which it will be available. The
latter because the subject/presenter line-up is rarely complete at the time
registration is opened for the rally/convention...

4. Request attendees to download handouts prior to attending presentations
for which handouts are posted to a website. Restate this on rally/convention
program when published. Avoids dependence on WiFi during presentations...

5. 'Will still need to have hard CC handouts available for "unconnected"
owners - but perhaps the volume (and waste) can be reduced, through
experience, over time...

Your thoughts...

Fred

I carry all of my reference materials on my tablet. All of the manuals, handouts, towing procedures etc Paper is a waste of space. I print out pages when I am doing maintenance.
