I was told the same thing. No email. I understand that he has one of those landline phones with a crank on the side. You crank it and say "Hello Dorothy, give me Sam please, and has the stage coach arrived in town yet today?"

I love it. I watched the whole thing. I wonder if this technology is available everywhere.
As an interesting side story. About 20 years ago, ago I was flying to Alaska and needed to page a friend to tell him what day I would be in Fairbanks so he could fly in commercially and meet me. I was in Watson Lake, Yukon Territory. I had to page him and touch tone in the return phone number. The problem was that there was not a touch tone phone in the entire town. Everything was rotary dial on a stepper central office. I had to fly on to Whitehorse to find a touch tone system.

Print it and mail it to him, or get it to him at Internatonal.

After watching that video, it reminded me of a pet peeve I've have since I joined the military and entered into an aviation career many years ago.
Why do people say "oh" for both the alphabet O(oh) and the number 0(zero)? It can create an awful lot of confusion.
Bell should have known better.
As a side note. I inherited one of the first bell Canada rotary phones from my grand parents. It was made of Bakelite must weigh 25 pounds. It still works and the ring is LOUD. Too bad I only have touch-tone service in my area.

Bell should have known better.
I has always bothered me too and I noticed it in that Bell movie clip. I usually say zero and in technical Conversations I say Zed for Z.
I tried an experiment for many months. If I verbally gave out a number using Oh instead of Zero they would read it back the same way. If I gave out a number using Zero that also is how they would read it back. If I mixed up the use of zero and Oh in the same long number, they also would do the same. Example 7Oh8-21zero-OhOh7Zero would always be repeated back to me exactly the same way.
