It's certainly possible to insert a tee and a pressure sensor in the line
feeding the carburetor. But, it seems to me much better to follow the most
economical technique: Do a binary search: Go to the middle of the system
and see whether the problem is before or after that point. Then go half
way toward the problem, etc., etc. They've already begun that process
with the external fuel tank -- the problem's aft of where they tied that
in. It's probable that one, at most two, more tests will clearly determine
the location: Insert the external tank before and after the selector valve.
