Does anyone use springs to hold the radiator grill in place?

I'm talking about the long ones that attach to the AC Condenser support ?

I thought I had seen something in the photos, but nothing shows up

Thanks

Keith

See it all the time.

I had very good luck with Repairing the old grill by epoxying in pieces of 1/4" threaded rod with versachem flow mix plastic welderr.

Go to the "Help" section of any auto parts store and pick up a package of throttle return springs. Drill small holes in the lips of the grill. Snip springs for length and bend ends to fit. Takes bout 30 sec to remove or install the grill. Saw someone else had done this about 10yrs ago, and changed mine immediately to springs. Haven't looked back. JWID.
