So, I just found out I don't have radial 16.5" rims on my coach, and my
tires are going to need replacing soon, but I have a big trip this week. I
won't have the money for everything until late fall.

So, I'm inclined to buy a spare rim and tire right now, I could get an
alloy run from Applied, there is also talk of 17" rims, but I don't feel a
need for shorter sidewalls. I'd like to stick with hub centred, or does
that not really matter?

Then this fall I'll buy the other 6.

Thanks,
Ron

Ron,

I have the non hub centered Eagle wheels from Applied GMC on the four rear positions on my coach (and Dodge truck lug centered wheels on the front). In my opinion, the only disadvantage to the lug centered wheels is that they are SLIGHTLY harder to install than the hub centered wheels.

If you can swing it, go for the stainless steel lug nuts and washers. I am upgrading mine a side at a time, and the SS hardware looks SO much better then the rusty chrome hardware (even in dry Arizona).

Get the SS center caps and lugs from JmK, when you get the Eagles from JmK. The chromed caps rust almost in the box as you open it.
