After reading Bobs post on Chinese fuel pumps, I did a little research.
The pump that seems the most popular for our Gmc's are the Carter p4070's. According to Amazon they are made in china?! At $53 for pump.
Now Amazon also has a Carter p4389 electric fuel pump for $54. Amazon says it's made in the USA! The deminshions are about the same, 6psi (4070 is 3-6 psi), and made for marine use.
Does anyone have any history with the p4389? Recommendations? Our a fresh set of eyes to double check my findings.
My application would be to hook it up the the aux fuel switch to help prevent vapor lock.
Thank, Scott.

Mr. Gasket and its clone. A bit cheaper, and a built in check valve. Just don't use the supplied filter, use the Wix sub. It's now out in a house branded version for a few dollars less as well.
