This is for the big end nuts obviously. I think the manual says 50-60 ft/lbs. I don't know why but that seemed low to me. Can anyone confirm?

Thank,

Bryan,
That is what the build book lists.
Are you thinking it is low because the parts involved are large?
They have nothing to do with the final situation. The ends of the Airspring are always in compression. All those big nuts are for is to make sure that the parts do stray.

Bryan,
In manual X7525, go to section 4, page 4-27. Paragraph - Air Bellows installation, subparagraph 4. The manual says50 to 60 ft/lbs. In the last 18 years or so I have never used a torque wrench because of the socket is difficult to source. I have always used a large combination wrench.

f you do not have a manual for your coach go to:

http://www.bdub.net/factory-manuals.html

Both the X-7525 and the the 78 Supplement X-7725 are available for download. Only the X-7525 has any info on the air bag torque.

Yes...I just assumed it would be more because of the critical nature of the nut. I read that in the manual and I just wanted to confirm. Your explanation makes me understand that the nut is not quite as critical as one would assume. Thank you.

Thank you J.R. I have the manual, I just didn't trust it. Smile
