1973 GMC Motorhome, extensively renovated! 66,000 original miles, runs and drives great, interior has been stripped down to the frame and almost entirely redone. This coach is in very good shape mechanically and is usable just the way it is. However, in order to make it totally complete, some interior work still needs to be finished.

We began this restoration by completely removing the interior walls and floor down to the frame, then thoroughly cleaning the frame and existing foam insulation of 40 years worth of grime. The floor frame was then painted and ¾" treated plywood installed on the floor. The plywood was painted on both sides prior to installation. After this, another layer of ¼" plywood was glued and stapled to the first layer, making a total thickness of 1" for the floor. This plywood was also painted with porch enamel for added durability and waterproofing. We added ½" aluminized foam board to the walls and ceilings, taping all joints. Once this was accomplished, wall coverings and walls were built in. I am a retired contractor and construction instructor, and all work was completed with care and skill. The only remaining major work that needs to be done is: carpet; wall and ceiling cladding; and interior finish work, which can be completed to your personal taste.

The following is a list of all of the improvements which we have made to this 43-year-old classic:

Literally hundreds of man-hours have gone into this restoration so far! We hate to be this close and not finish it, but we just don't have the time or the money. Our loss is your gain! Take this coach and enjoy it now, and add the finishing touches to the interior as you have the time and money.

We have over $20,000 invested in this coach. However, in order to sell it, we are asking $18,000.
