all good. it is always interesting the connection between vw folks and GMC volks. I have owned many air cooled VW's, and currently have a woods rail, and just bought a VW thing to be used as a towd.
as for bronco II's, my grandmother in law, still seems to be healthy, so I will not have her 87 bronco II to use as a towd for quite some time. But it is a base model and does not have A/C. It is amazingly clean, kept indoors and babied and not driven anywhere. it has I think 44,000 original miles on it. She bought it brand new right when she retired in 1987.
She is coming over tomorrow with it, it has a "rattle" so I will have to try to chase that down. It leaks no oil, she fixes every little thing on it, it is crazy nice.

not this grandma. there is a reason the bronco II has 43,000 miles on it. Just getting her to leave the house to come over for thanksgiving was a trick. she is healthy and able to, but she just plain does not ever go anywhere unless she has to.(grocery store down the street).

Reading the posts about old VWs reminds me, since I sold The Toadstone ('92 diesel Jetta) we're Volkswagenless for the first time in roughly 45 years. To include 4 diesel Jettas, numerous Beetles, a '62 Station Wagon (Not a 23 window) a 74 Kombi and a Type III fastback. Unfortunately, nothing in the last ten years that's towable four down has the panache of the MouseToad. It looks good behind the GMC.
Foolish Carriage, 76 26' Eleganza(?) with beaucoup mods and add - ons.

I forgive them all, save those who hurt the dogs. They must answer to me in hell
