GMC Motorhome 425 Transmission Heavy Duty Switch Pitch (Variable Pitch)

This Transmission has been built with all the Heavy Duty parts, roller bearing instead of nylon bushing, max number of clutch plates, etc by Manny
Switch innards built into the strongest late model case. Less than 300 mile on the tranny.
This Tranny can increase performance and mileage.
Asking reasonable offer.

Just curious, how late a case? (year is stamped on the tag btw).

IIRC, that would translate to 1972 Cadillac. Cadillac is A, Olds is O, Buick is B, Pontiac is P, Chevy is C for most of the HydraMatic lines, at least of that era, just not sure about GMC app. However, the J refers to a specific app, meaning unknown. Reason I was asking is I have a very late ('77, '78-ish? I have to look) TH425 I wanted to convert to switch pitch. Manny told me it's too new and wouldn't have certain internal passages required for SP. I currently have a rebuilt one with FD out of a '70 Eldorado I bought from a Cadillac hot rodder as my $500 GMC special came without a trans/FD. Manny says that'll work but I have no reason to modify it as it works just fine. FWIW, I haven't checked the gear ratio, might have a 3.07, perhaps even a 2.73. Manny knows the cutoff year, I believe yours is modifiable.
