Mike,

Are you here to help others and/or to improve your knowledge of GMC MHs? Most of us are here for both reasons.

The feeling I get from reading your posts is that you consider yourself a bit more knowledgeable than most of us. This leads me to believe that you are not learning from us.

The reaction you are receiving from many of us is one of annoyance. This leads me to believe that you are not helping us.

So why are you here?

Just the facts, my opinions, and the truth, all of which you can ignore, if that is your prerogative. All we ask is that you respect the rest of us, be polite, and try to fit in.

This is not the first time you have been asked to do so.

Being an annoyance ruins it for everyone, and I'm not the only one who finds you to be a confrontational annoyance.

As I have mentioned before, you are obviously a knowledgeable person who has lots to offer. You just need to adjust your approach in order to fit in with the rest of the GMC misfits here. If you are unable to respect the rest of us, then you might find it best to remain a lurker, or find another venue where you are better tolerated and accepted.

I invite you to share your honest and open thoughts about this group and it's members here in the sandbox. Please be prepared to receive the same honesty and openness back from them.

Looks that way. He hasn't been back since 11 April.

With his departure, we may have lost some knowledge and experience, but we certainly won't miss his attitude and personality.

Irregardless of the circumstances, it is never a good thing when we loose a participant.

The one thing I do notice different about this site compared to other forums I have joined (not pertaining to this MH) is that there was just under 13k of these motorhomes manufactured.

I am truly blessed that I came to own one and am incredibly happy with the welcoming I have gotten from other members of this site.

I guess my next question is why there would be a negative one amongst us.

Haven't been around long enough to read any of his posts.......

Mike is outspokenly opinionated.

I explained it this way.

When you walk into a strange crowd, you keep your mouth shut until you figure out who's who.

Mike strolled in and told all of the Jims (Kanomato, Bounds and Hupy) to step off in one of the first threads he ever posted to.

That's like bad-mouthing three grandfathers at a family reunion where they are the guests of honor (and Mike wasn't trying to be Don Rickles).

Granted Grandpas aren't always right, but you have to respect them and their life experiences.

So he was a self proclaimed "know all" amongst those who really knew all way before he did?

I can be like that from time to time LOL. I know everything, just can't remember it all at once. That is just the mechanic in me talking........

As long as you can accept being told politely (with supporting data) that you are wrong when you make a mistake, you'll get along here quite fine.

One of the problems with Mike the B, besides being a belligerent know-it-all, was that he always referenced people and things that had nothing to do with GMCs. I had an uncle like that; if he didn't invent it, he was best friends and adviser to the guy who did. Very annoying.

Mike is long gone. It would be common courtesy to stop criticizing him in absentia. We all have our faults.
