AND, thanks to Ken Henderson for starting the ball rolling by getting Ken Burton nominated for this award. The Board was anonymous in approving it.

I think Y'All should all realize that the real reason I did it is for
revenge: As he has so often demonstrated here, he's just too stubborn to
pay any attention to what he should have learned in the military: The
Colonel is always right. No matter how wrong he is, the Colonel is always
right! No matter how wrong I am, he just will not let me be right!

So now we're even.

(Plus, the incidental fact that I couldn't think of anyone nearly as
deserving of an award.)

Thanks every one.

This is the first time I have been on the net since we got here so I did not know about this thread until just now.

It was kind of funny how this all happened. I missed the exit off of the turner tollway and ended up adding about 55 miles to my trip getting in late Sunday night. We got here just in time for dinner. After dinner Emery picked up the microphone and started talking. With my hearing I could not understand anything he was saying. The room sounded like a bunch of low tone echos.

I was sitting in the back row and decided if this went on much longer I would just slip out the back door. No one would notice because they were all listening to Emery and whatever Emery was saying. I almost left.

Then I heard Emery say my name and I thought now what? He called me up front and during the award I was not sure what it was for so I just went along with his presentation. It was only later after I ead the posting on the rally bulletin board and talked to Emery in person that I figured it all out.

Just tonight, Ken pushed my vdub to start it. He then jumped in and we ran to Walmart for a new battery. Just the kind of guy he is. Earlier in the day, his wife, Laurie pushed me also.

I remember Ken getting this well deserved award but I don't remember if this has been awarded to any other GMCers.

To bring me, and probably many others, up to date how about someone reminding me the genesis of the award, who has won it, who makes the determination, who can nominate candidates, etc. I have a few GMCers whom I feel should be nominated and would welcome the opportunity to do so.

The board decided to not automatically select, but to do it when we hear of
a person.

some people reek with american know how and propitousness. From all the help i have gotten and

wise kind information i have obtained from this so called club of gmc, ers people like Ken Burton makes it feel

comfortable and an honor to read what they say and think. Dam he is smart, Give him another one of these awards please.

I admire without ever meeting him, his American soul. thanks Mr Burton.

THis goes for Mac, Rob, the Jim's, and all those that participate here.

But Ken Burton when he types every body reads it. Twice i bet.

If he could just stay out of jail. M.
