Not a clue - very retro and timeless (in keeping for sure). The ones on the boat trailer - I recall having a set 'back then', just can't remember the brand. Cragar (sp), American Racing? Just guessing now.

One thing's for sure - that's a *really* nice rig and not sure if you noticed, but the super slim rearmost side window on the 23 footer? *That* is cool as it would have been a rear bath model. Someone did a lot of work and very, very well.

I wonder if this one would wash at a GMC Motorhome rally?

That 1926 GMC (on the Hemmings link) is really cool.....We've sure come a long way, haven't we!!

Must have been fun back in those days.

I think those are "American" mags. I had a set on my Studebaker Hawk years ago.

A nice look on that coach.....

They are still available.
They are inverted and track out but front and back.
I'm sure we can supply them, but they will be non hub centered.

Is it bad to be lug centric on these vehicles? The wheels were
designed to be hub centric. Googling says it's not that big a deal.

They are 5 Slot Mags. Popular on 70's muscle cars. I hated them growing up, but since I have seen them on that coach, I kinda like them. All you need are bell bottoms and some beads hanging in the doorway, and you're all set.

I think Cragar made them, bit I'm sure American Racing and others knocked them off too.

They sure are period correct.

There are two companies that made those "slots" (we used to call them that).
Airstream and Ansen. Used to be very popular in the 60's, early 70's. I
used to sell a ton of them at swap meets because their popularity was
replaced by the still popular 5 spoke designs. At one time they were the
only wheel wider than stock that you could buy on a budget .

My personal experience wit a non hub centered wheel in the 80's were
not that good.
The holes that the nuts spin in starts to enlarge each the wheels are
taken on and off.
There are ways to do it carefully, but tire shops and repair shops do
not have time to baby them and the wheels are allowed to tilt as the
nuts are spun.
It is almost impossible to wear out the hub center, but you can the log center .
If you think you can remove the wheels like it should carefully each
time, then go for the less expensive units.

While I have seen pictures of this coach before, (looks to be a rear bath Birch to me.) I never noticed the body treatment around the front wheel.

Something just doesn't look normal there....

I'm looking online, and only see 15" versions... do they make 16 inch
versions? That's what we need for our coaches, right?

There are some out there in 16" and they call them "trailer wheels".
The load capacity is over 3,000 lbs.
So they may work. I didn't notice how wide they were.

+1 on the Ansen Sprint Mags.

Wonder how long the wheel bearings lasted on that coach with wheels of that offset?

Looks hairy though!
