Hi and thanks for offering such a wonderful service.

I am not a GMC Motorhome owner...yet, although looking very, very hard - and hoping someone amongst the group could perhaps help me.
I have quite a project in mind and without going in to great detail, I am looking for an inexpensive "base" to start from. I have done some homework, have found gorgeous coaches all over the US and Canada, but have yet to find quite what I'm looking for.

Ultimately, it would be an empty shell - 23 or 26 foot, well the preference would be a 23' or any flavor of Transmode. As transport cost to ship these things around in any condition seems very high, something that runs would be preferred - even if it's not running super well, but enough to drive it home - and I'm not afraid to cross the country or border *if* the math works out.

If anyone has such a 'donor' kicking around that might fit the bill, I would really like to hear from you. Of course, if the price was decent I would take any model, any length - it just would seem a shame to be discarding and re-doing nice original things.

Thanks all,

Gord

Hi Gord
I live in the area (Pincourt) if you need anything I have made a few contacts and travel to the states in the summer for vacation. I still have to work to support my GMC habit (Steve sorry about using that word again) but some of still do. Send me a private messageif you need anything. This group is the reason I bought a GMC they will go out of there way to help. You will receive maybe more info than you want but this is a good thing.

Welcome Gord

I would suggest you copy your message and post it in the main forum as well. The messages in the forum are also sent to email only; users that do not actually sign into the forum and therefore do not see the swap meet. And swap meet messages are not sent to email users, maybe more in number than those that use the forum.

Sounds like a well thought out plan. I have spent a lot of time looking for the right coach for me, not found yet. And I have heard of several that are close to what you want. Of course, not being what I want, I don't remember any right now.

Thanks very much John - nice to know there are actually some others 'up' this way with similar interests (and the obligations to make them happen!) Wink

Thanks also Don - I'll give that a go...I just didn't want to 'spam' the forums although last week I did sign up for the mailing list (get heaps of emails), but even signed up there, I seem in limbo trying to post via email. "Awaiting Moderation" it says, but if I can do it from here and get it out to the crowd, well... I'll give it a go.

Many thanks for the warm welcome - appreciated!
