That does look like a nice event. However, did I see people wearing jackets Smile BTW, years ago we used to meet near Durand (I think)with Paul Bartz, the restaurant owner (can't remember his name) Dave Lenzi, Ed Galubensky, Don Hart, and others. It really is a fun and informative thing to do!!

I stand corrected--it was in Jackson and Tim Brown was regularly our host at his great restaurant.

On a layover this afternoon (Tuesday 9/14) in Livonia, caught a glimpse of an Orange GMC crossing 6 Mile at Newburg and it looked like the one in the photo. Made a great day even better!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend. Our dash was all taken apart in an effort to find a short. My wife did swing by and take some pictures though. Below is the link to the 5 pictures:

Sounds like everyone had a good time. I'll shoot for the next one.

All,
Sorry it's taken me a while to get around to posting this, but I knew I had a few things going on earlier in the week. Plus, I had to learn to post photo's to the GMC Photo site, which took me a few tries. Thanks bdub! I think I have everything there correctly now.

We had a great gathering, with 10 coaches there, and 17 people in attendance, so a really good turnout. Lots of walking around and comparing notes on coaches which was really fun, especially under surprisingly nice weather. As Matt Colie mentioned, everyone really admired John Shotwell's new Topeka graphics paint job, and John did give props to Bob DeKruyff's design. There was a lot of tips and help traded on subjects from replacing headliners, to engine performance issues, to electrical problems, and I'm sure everyone learned a lot. Larry & Sally Erd showed off pictures of their almost in boxes, recent "barn find" Kingsley, and probably got too much information for their to-do list. It was really nice to be able to compare 10 coaches in quite a lot of depth, and hear the owner's stories of them. Although I love the walk-throughs' at rally's, at some point it becomes too overwhelming for me to keep details straight, so this worked really well.

I'll send a note out later today to those who attended with similar information, as well as soliciting input on the next event. I got a few restaurant suggestions on Sunday to think about. Thanks to everyone for showing up and participating, and looking forward to the next one. If I'm doing this right, the photo link is below. They are in a mix of photo id, photosite, and me fritzing with order to keep the pictures of the smaller and larger pictures of owners together.

Nice pictures Craig!

One correction though, mine is listed as a '74 Sequoia, it's a '75 Palm Beach.

Craig

Thanks for letting the rest of us in on ya'lls gathering. I'm so happy to
see so many faces that I've known for some time.

Hi to Gary, Nick, Matt, John, Larry, Mike, Tim, Alan, Mike, and Russ. Nice
to put a face to your posts. I'm pleased to meet you. I've seen Craig in
his Woodward Cruise photos.

It makes such a difference to those who haven't met. The photos
become so much more interesting and reading posts, having a face to
connect with the name is very nice. My thanks too, for that effort.

Craig-

Can you post photos of my brother Tim and I at the Woodward Avenue Dream
Cruise? Just in case Julie thinks we spent all our time in nightclubs and
topless bars....

Craig,

Lanny & I are so proud of you!  What a great report & wonderful photos.  I love
the way you took a close-up of the people, then dropped back for a shot of them
with their coaches.  Nicely done!  (John, nice paint job.)
