At GEMRECS, I often get calls for a "dash board". Usually, I have none, but after my GMC was violated by an intruder, which included smashing my dash to steal the stereo, I felt I had no option but to attempt to repair the dash. This I did successfully using super glue, thin aluminum sheet material, and small rivets. The aluminum strips were for support of two original pieces that were glued together. Worked like a charm.
So now I have removed two other dashes, one dark, one light, but both prior to the 77 models. Neither is as damaged as mine was so I am working to repair them-minus the glove boxes, although I think I have a glove box for the light colored one. Price $600 each. Prefer not to ship as very awkward to pack-safely. If UPS damages it, there is no replacement. However, I am bringing the dashes to the GMCMI Convention in Du Quion Illinois Sep 26th.
