Its a small white box oversized box of ciggarettes has led bars to show knocks, is adjustable for sen. and vol.. It hooks to a Bat. source and a wire run to the eng block to detect knocks while driving. Same princple as a computered knock on the newer cars with ECMs. Can find them online if you need more.
