Does anybody have experience with the CTEK chargers. They claim it to be
the "smartest battery charger in the world".

They may be, but the web site is one of the dumbest. I never did find a
list of products, specs, and prices.

I doubt they're much smarter than Progressive Dynamics or any of the other
popular modern converters and would be surprised if they're not overpriced.

I'm looking for a place in the SF Bay Area where I can get the deep cycle 6 volt batteries. You suggested Sam's Club. Well their store in Concord carries them and I'll pick them up this weekend.

If they are wired in series the way you would to use them, then it's a 12V battery and the charger shouldn't care if there are 6 cells in one case or 3 cells in 2 cases each if you get my drift.
