Didn't get that close to this one. It was on the rack at a "Big-O
Tires" store in Novato, CA.

It was a white 23' looked like they were working on the back right
wheels when I drove by.

This particular "Big-O" almost always has a green '77 26' parked in the
lot. I'm told that it belongs to the owner of the shop. Haven't gone
in to talk to him yet, but his shop is right down the street from my
family's body shop.

Anyone know him? It's a nice looking coach, but it has those funky
spiral design wheels.

Can your Family Body shop write estimates on a GMC? I have an open claim from when I backed into it with my mustang. Embarassed I wish I'd known, I just had several thousand in insurance work completed the Mustang.

Sure, they can write them on anything, and estimates are free. I
wouldn't mind if my GMC "Coach Cousins" showed them a little love. Pop
was a little skeptical when I got mine, but I think he really likes it now.

They're at...

Thorsson's Auto Center
862 Vallejo Ave
Novato, CA 94945
(415)897-0211

http://www.thorssonauto.com

They haven't done too many motorhomes but they have done every other
kind of custom thing you can think of from formula race cars to antique
model-A's, motorcycles, boats, etc. They just finished a complete on a
30-something Delahaye for a collector. They can do some amazing custom
paint, too. He's had stuff in Hot Rod magazine and won the Grand
National Roadster Show back in the day.

Thanks for asking!

Desmond

(When you're up there, also drive by Vallejo and First, on the other
side of Redwood Blvd to see that green 77 in the lot there...)

Desmond,

great thanks for the info! We'll probably bring it in next week. I really wish I had known, the Mustang had rallye stripes repainted... The shop that did it did just OK... I'll keep my eyes peeled for the other other GMC in the N'hood.

I started a facebook page for him, there's some neat custom job photos
up there but we just started loading it.

I'm hoping to talk them into doing a complete on my coach but I'm not
sure they have a booth big enough. I'm trying to come up with a solution.
