Well the family Richmond is heading on the road again, this time it's a visit to Grand Teton and Yellowstone with perhaps a trip out to Mt. Rushmore before heading back to Phoenix via Denver. I'll probably leave the GMC at the Denver Airport while we scoot out to Pennsylvania and back by airliner. Then I'll come back and pick it up and drive back to Phoenix. So if you see me out on the road give a honk. If I'm under the coach it'll give me time to get my legs out of the road!

Originally the plan was to drive to PA, but various circumstances made us re-plan the trip. But hey who knows if I get some wild-eyed look on my face and just keep heading east out of Mt. Rushmore.

OOh!! How Mama and the kids would howl!! Laughing

The pilot in me wants to plan every detail and complete the "mission", but I know I have to accept that the Lord directs my steps and I have to remain flexible. That's why we named the blog after Proverbs 16:9.

Me too, what Carl said. After a hard day at the office I love coming home and reading up on my GMC friends' travels.

I too look forward to your blog. Love to follow folks travel adventures. I made a very similar trip in 2001.

Hope your were able to follow Mac's idea and download Streets. Of course that won't give you the GPS antenna to tell you exactly where you are, but it will still be a great aide. You or your wife will need to spend some time while the other is driving to get familiar with it. Takes a while as any new program to learn how to do some things. Give me a holler or email if I can help with Streets.

btw the way, my Streets says there is some construction in Wyoming. About 12 miles of it on I90 before Custer and about 40 miles on 18 South of Custer. Then some more on I25 from Colorado Springs down to New Mx. Of course that doesn't mean it is all tied up in there. Very small piece of your ambitious journey.

Enjoy a family great time!

I have a GPS-enabled broadband modem, so I would think that it would function as a GPS antenna with S&T. After trying to download it to my daughters flash drive it got 99% of the way (1hr) and then ran out of space.
