J. Leon,

A wise decision; at 89 my Father only drove the 1968 Type 3 VW he had
purchased new during the day and to and from places he was familiar with.

I don`t think so.... He kinda sounds like a retired tunnel rat Col. I know. Marshall taught me one way to kill silently with one finger, it includes a silencer at 3,000 yds.
Anybody that had lived thru his adventures and is still here to tell about it has got my respect. I was looking forward to sitting under the awning at a GMC rally listening and enjoying. Maybe he will keep lurking and come aroung...

Tim,
Maybe I was bragging a little. But you have heard it said "if you can do

Jesse, on the "non-personal" side, was there something you read that turned you off from a GMC? I ask this because when I first bought my 1975 Palm Beach, I had talked with some "experts", one quite well known who writes articles for a magazine on a monthly basis. I was disappointed in his sermon, frankly, but I also knew he meant well. Some folks have a manner.....oh, well......

These coaches are wonders of engineering. Yes, they have their issues, but once a person is aware of them, you are ahead of the game. I bought my coach in SPITE of the advice I got on the phone from this expert. The coach never let me down. Having owned stick and staple KRAP, trust me, they will leave you calling your towing service from time to time, I don't care if they just came out of the dealership. I have a GM bus now, and I really miss my 26' little house, so that is why I hang around here. These are a great bunch of people, and, as you can see, "fellowship" represents about 80% of GMCMH ownership. We in the busnut world do not share this to this extent. Oh, and thanks for your service.

Hey Larry. I see you are still hanging around. Steve Ferguson has a coach, call him. That thing is as close to perfect as I have seen. You are going to get another coach. We need one more living in Mo. cuz I am gone so often. I bet I know who the guy is that told you all that stuff and writes for the monthly publication. He does not hang around here. Anyway, good to see you are still fighting the urge. But, you must give in sooner or later. Mite as well be sooner so you can once again enjoy the life of owning a GMC for more years to come.

Jim will be easy to spot. Just look for a GMC with a tow truck towed.

Hal,
Jim said he might stop here on the way. We are leaving early AM
Weds. First stop is the KOA at Van Horn, next on is Buckhorn Lake RV
park in Kerrville. Excellent Mexican restaurant in Kerrville.

Hey Steve;

I stopped at the Buckhorn Lake RV park like you recommended when I
got to Kerrville on my way through Texas. It's a BEAUTIFUL place. The
office was closed when I showed up and no way to check in, so couldn't
stay there. I had to go the other way on the road and found the KOA.
Would have stayed at the Buckhorn if possible. Kerrville has a Walmart
SuperCenter if one wants to stay there.
