Just bought my 2001 tracker/vitara and ordered a new soft top then come to find out that 4 of the 5 plastic pieces that secure the rear canvas in place are broke to the point it has screws in several locations. Then the kicker was that I found out these parts are made of class 3 unobtanium. Can find no aftermarket source and the used ones I have found are in broke too and they are being priced higher than gold if you go by weight. Any one know of source or have some leftover after converting to hard top. THanks

Don't have a source, but have you considered maybe you or someone in the group that could 3D print the items for you? Not to long ago we had someone that did some 3D printing of a couple of unobtaniam items for out coachs.

Just what I think.

I was lucky enough to find a Tracker with the requested pieces in local men's mall. But it wa six months of web searching all the local pull a part yards.
Most to the plastic pieces that I found were in bad shape. Wish that I could hlp.
None here in local yards today.

Hard to believe that some aftermarket company hasn't jumped on it the way they just break apart, maybe not enough of a demand to tool up, who knows maybe they can't find a whole good set to copy. Saw a whole set on ebay with problems and they wanted $995, just about what I paid for the whole car. Sure glad I had my son help me negotiate them way down on price.
