Home depot has a $84 110v tankless on sale for today only. Seems like prices have come way down and maybe this small one would be good for a coach. It says rated for a single sink but may work for a 'Navy' shower.

MAYBE, but it requires 27 Amp feed using 2 #10 AWG plus ground.

I thought it might be good to feed my home dishwasher which is some 60 feet of PEX from the water heater, but that would require an expensive rewiring job to the kitchen.

It is a half gal. per minute system. The 'Navy' shower does not work
because the system turns off when the flow stops. There is a
stabilization period and cold water in the line on startup. They work best
with a steady flow and can keep the same water temp for as long as the
power and flow are steady.
You could still use the 'Navy' shower concept to save water but count on
cold water at each startup.

I wish you had put your address in your signature. I just looked to see
where you lived to be aware of the old 'cold water start-up'
That is a definite negative and an even more definite if one lives in a
cooler area..

Many of the smaller 110v tankless heaters do not heat to a set temp, they actually just provide a fixed temp rise of the incoming water. We installed a 5000w 220v tankless at my employer for washing hands. During the winter it was barely able to take the chill off the city water. Keep in mind that montreal city water can get down to 40°F in the winter, and never gets above 60°F in the summer.

I believe it was rated at something like 40°F rise at 0.5gpm. A faucet wide open flows quite a bit more than that, and if we throttled the flow to get warmer water, the flow switch would often trip, shutting the element off. We eventually swapped the tankless for a 5gal water heater.

Kingsley Coach,
I am John Phillips
12 miles west of Sacramento Ca. in Ranco Cordova.
Les is correct, the low-end units sense flow and turn the heater on 100%,
They do not modulate the heater. The more flow you get the less heat gain.
