My side refrigerator vent door went missing and I am looking to replace it. It is for the Birchaven and is a little smaller than 20" x 12" (Dometic Part #RM2217). I believe it is smaller than the Royal ones which run around 22x14. None of the vendors had one that will do. Anyone got an original lying around, or something that will fit the hole?
Thanks

The hinge gave way on the door to mine, so I ended up modifying one of the plastic ones from Applied. It is larger, but once the back side is cut away, it conforms to the curve of the coach, and the vents on the door just fit inside the stock opening. YMMV. I had to cut a piece of aluminum angle to serve as the latch plates, but that was not hard to do.

I think I still have the old door if you want to try and re-attach a hinge, but I will not be back home to look until February.

I don't think mine was ever hinged, You just pushed it up under the lip at the top and latched on the bottom.
Anyway I was able to fabricate a pretty convincing replica for around $18.00 by ordering a return air grill off of amazon. The size was perfect, just had to bondo and sand the two screw holes and paint it to match.

They have all kind of sizes. I imagine one could do the same and make a Royal sized one, or a propane vent door. Just keep in mind they list them according to vent size. The actual size of the grille is 1" bigger around so that 18x10 one is actually just about 20x12.
