I'm having trouble with my generator and the shop believes it is the main board that is the problem. Where can I find a board?

Jumper the terminal 9 to the terminal 5. That will bypass the board and allow the ignition and fuel pump to work.
If it runs then the problem is indeed in the board.

You board might be able to be repaired. Or you can purchase a replacement from Applied GMC. appliedgmc.com

two other things. Check the oil level. There is a low oil pressure switch that will stop it from running.
Also check your fuel supply. If the main tank is below about 1/4 tank the Onan will not pick up any fuel.

What he is saying, careful who you trust. Many mechanics that mean well have pointed others to replace unnessisary parts.

Jim-
I know. There's way more 6s out there. Point being if it runs with the board bypassed, we can then try with the oil switch bypassed. Either that or the board at that point. I've some salvage boards I can likely get one going for him, or he can tap you for a new one or a Dino.
