I saw the posting on the tank sending units. My mechanic said one of the sending units went bad, so he set the other one to read for both tanks I believe. His thought was that you would inly be concerned with the last half of your gas? Anyhow what it does is stay on full for a long while till I have 25 gallons left then the needle starts dropping so that when it hits half, I actually have a 1/4 tank left. Not my ideal setup, and been meaning to get this repaired correctly. My question is, can you set up 2 gauges,so that they only read each tank individualy?

You need to understand thia diagram fully:

http://gmcmotorhome.info/tank.html

Normally the fuel gauges read equal till about the last 1/3. Then they can read what is left in each tank.

So with one working sender just run that tank and you should know what you have for gas other then the last 6-10 gallons.

Sounds like the one "working" sender is not too accurate.
