I want remove the dash insert but i am have trouble pulling the knob off the wiper switch is there a secret to this or what I don't want to brake it as I am not ready to do the wiper crossover yet

That knob does just pull off (carefully.

If you are not too far north in Wisconsin, keep watching. The fall rally is going to be in Elkhart IN. That is just east of the bottom of Lake Michigan. Even if you can only make the weekend days, it is still worth it.
