Chasing Leaks [message #315154]

So I have tracked down the leaks in the front. 3 of 5 running lights were leaking but those should be fairly straight-forward. The last 3 leaks I need help with:

Driver -

I assume the 2 on the side can be dealt with by sealing the joint on the roof where the cap meets the body. What is the best way to do this?

The one on the windshield needs more investigation on my part. I haven't looked from the outside yet to see if I can tell where the source might be. Maybe someone on here has dealt with this leak before?

You clearly have an advantage to be tracking the leaks with the interior cleared out.

any tiny crack will suck water in. I had a cracked fan base that would suck in water like a fire hose. It's amazing.

Tape the cap seam with Eternabond tape. 4" wide and flexible. Also paintable if you do not want white. Clean surface before applying the tape and follow the rub down instructions. Some Wal-Marts have it and Camping World, as well as web sources.
Check the gasket surrounding the windshield. Clean out the old 'whatever' that has been applied to the windshield gasket and re-caulk with a poly caulk. I used a product from West Marine that stays semi-flexible. Need to run both the sides and top of the windshield where it joins the body.
