My Grandparents owned a 1973 GMC that they loved (active members of the GMC Classics Motorhome Club, etc). They both passed away years ago and now we need to get rid of their motorhome. It has not even been started in probably 10 years. It was excellently maintained before that. The interior still looks pretty good. My initial thought was to donate it for a tax write off and just get it hauled off. But then I remembered it was a classic and a bit of a collectors item. I would prefer not to pay a mobile mechanic to get it running. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best place to sell this and best way to figure out its value? I need to sell it pretty quickly. Any advice would be helpful.

Try to get ahold of Billy Massey. He is on this forum. He could get the word out to the Texas people. It would be better to sell it to a private party vs a donation. I would hate to see it cut up for scrap.
Can you post any pictures? 23 or 26 foot?

You are in Texas. So Billy is your best resource on talking to and getting the correct direction to go. He does a good job of paying attention to coaches coming and going and values to different people.
prices vary from paying to have it hauled away, to lots more, all depending on it's location, condition, and who it goes to. Hopefully Billy knows of someone that can give you a fair price and has the skills necessary to get the coach going again for good use in the future, and also able to haul it out of your way with out being a bother to you.
