That must be why UPS did not deliver my package today even though their tracking said it would be here today.
I need to learn to ask method of shipment when I buy something on line.

UPS was working here in Virginia today, thankfully for my customer with the broken Jeep waiting for parts from Amazon. And Wells Fargo was also open from 11 to 5 to accept money to pay for the parts. Happy Columbus Day!

At 04:40 AM they posted "Out for delivery" or something like that. Then at 8:51 AM they said "DELIVERY HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED DUE TO HOLIDAY CLOSURES." They still have not said what they rescheduled it to.

They have not updated it as of 2AM Wednesday morning and they did not deliver it on Tuesday.
The joke of the whole thing is it was shipped from Plainfield, IL (a Chicago suburb) which is about 60 miles from here. They received it one week ago on Wednesday morning from the shipper.
I know what is going to happen. I'll bet that they will give it to the local post office for delivery.
On the same day (last Wednesday) I ordered a small item from Fuzhou, China and it was delivered today. I'm not in any rush for this or I would have driven to the UPS terminal today and asked for it. I was about 10 miles away from the terminal today.
When it absolutely, positively has to get there someday, use UPS
