I have a davo couch, ie the bottom half of the sofa/bunkbed arrangement.
It's got off-white vinyl on it now, and two layers of new 3" foam which makes
for a really comfortable bed. I'd be happy to strip off the foam and
vinyl if you don't want it. Here's a picture:

This is just the base part; the plywood/foam back in the picture has been scrapped.

Do you still have the bunk bed brackets? My PO threw them away and I could really use a functioning bunk bed for our two girls Smile

Both the wall brackets and ceiling brackets are trivially easy to fabricate out of the correct thickness of steel. The wall brackets can be made out of square tubing, and the ceiling brackets out of sheet steel. Here's a pic of wall bracket:
