In my renovation, I have removed several Quest fittings, elbows valves and
other do-dads from the galley sink supply lines installed by the PO. I
think there was one of everything from the Quest catalog. I'm back to
'good' Quest behind the drawers ('78 Kingsley, driver side galley.)

I know that Quest Poly-B is a unique size, and found a Sharkbite fitting (
U4008LF
),
which I consider to be the easy way out. Home Depot

has them for $9 at some stores.

I was trying to find a Poly-B to 1/2" NPT male, and then get longer tails
for my single hole faucet. This would be only one set of fittings.

Since I can't find that type of fitting, the one above would let me build
out to short 1/2" PEX extensions, then crimp on 1/2" M-NPT fitting (or
double down with two more Sharkbites) and connect the faucet tails.

I'm asking here for the wisdom of the great GMC networked mind to see what
others have done. The rest of the Quest seems to be in good shape, so I'm
not re-piping everything, even though I have removed enough fittings to
open a hardware store stocked full of obsolete parts.

Sounds complicated. I always have some 1/2" CPVC hanging around. I would get a Sharkbite polybutylene to CPVC connector and a 1/2" male CPVC NPT fitting. Glue the CPVC NPT male fitting to a short stub of CPVC. Stick that in the CPVC end of the PB to CPVC Sharkbite and there's the Poly-B to 1/2" NPT male you need.

Lowes has a barbed fittings that will do what you need. It's in their brass section in plumbing.

I use PEX stainless crimps to button it up.

Late bump to an old thread, but I had some trouble finding cinch rings for
the PolyB (I don't have a crimp setup for PEX). I reused the
PolyB compression fittings and inserts with new delran compression rings.
That got me to pipe thread, adapted that and ran new PEX. Works great!

I've been super busy at work, so not much action on the GMC side of the
noodle barn. (Where we keep the pool noodles in the winter).

Nobody where you live had Sharkbite fittings? http://www.homedepot.com/p/SharkBite-1-2-in-Brass-Push-to-Connect-Polybutylene-Conversion-Coupling-U4008LFA/202270632

They did, and I bought a set, but the Poly-B under my sink was 3/8", not
1/2". There is some 1/2" Poly-B in the back so I put them in the parts tub.
