Bob,
Most of the time it is the speedometer plastic gear seal that is worn out.
We can supply that should that be it.
There is a rubber ring under the Governor cap and it could be cracked.

had one start leaking at pismo beach a few years back after leaving a gmcws
ralley in Hemut a quart of tranny fluid every 20 miles all the way to San
Jose
that was the day we met Manny god I love that man !. I think he still has
that fluid stain going up that damn drive way of his
O ring disintegrated . thank fully the napa in king city was open so I
could pick up another case of fluid memories.... Dan
