The 3/4 x 3/4 x 5/8 heater hose tee that connects the water heater hose to the heater hose from the water pump to the heater core has a slight leak. It seems to be made of copper or brass.
Anyone know where I might find a replacement, or can mine be repaired?
Applied GMC sells 2 versions, one is all 3/4 and the other is all 5/8.
Maybe someone who has removed the lines to the water heater might have one they could sell?
Or can mine be sweated like a copper pipe? Thanks.

RD,

If it is leaking at the seam where the branch was put in, it can be soldered.
If JimK does not offer what you have, it just might not be available any longer.

If the solder in the joint got eaten through, then your radiator might not be far behind. Change you coolant if it has not been changed.

Matt

I'll bet NAPA or Tractor Supply will have that tee. And you could also check Home Depot and Lowes online. Best to get another metal one, have had plastics fail or distort with the heat. You could also make one up out of steel pipe fittings.

G'day,

I assume you're talking about the "T" at the rear passenger side of the intake manifold, here's what it looks like on The Blue
Streak:

It's a pipe "T" with barbs screwed into it.
