I recently purchased a set of Bogie greasers from the Coop. Which of the two brass fittings
(simple small one or larger with an o-ring) is the right one for my 78 Royale? The instruction
sheet wasn't included and I was hoping to get these in tomorrow. Otherwise I will wait to Monday
When I will get ahold of them.

Unfortunately no.
In my bag I received the four greasers, four threaded simple brass sleeves and four larger threaded brass sleeves with o-rings. I cannot see any configuration where I could use both types of sleeves at the same time so I have to choose one or the other. Guess I'll just try them in both configurations and assume it will a go-no-go decision.

Maybe I do not understand the problem.
Assemble them the way they are shown in the picture a few postings back. Then screw the entire assembly into the bogie pin hole where the removed grease fitting came from. After installation the top grease fitting will grease the outside bushing and the bottom fitting will grease the inside bushing.
To get them installed you may have to remove some grease from the inside of the bogie tube before inserting the bogie greaser assembly. To do so simply insert a soda straw into the hole and it will fill up with grease. Then remove the straw with the grease inside.
Finally on some of the bogie pins there there is a rough ridge inside the tube. If that ridge is there it will catch on the o-ring on the end of the tube. If you have the problem, you will need to go in there with a drill bit (I forgot what size ) and clean out that ridge.

Gary,
It's almost a sure bet that you will need the larger ends with the O-ring.
The small ends
are for some replacement pins with 1/4" holes that are out there. Use a
5/16" straw
from Steak & Shake, Wendy's, Burger King or other place that has the large
straws to
remove the grease. Push the straw in, squeeze the end and pull it out with
the grease.
Put an 11/32" drill bit in your drill, gripping it close to the end and run
it in the hole to
remove any burrs from where they drilled the side holes. Then, insert the
greaser
and grease away.

What bit of information I was hoping to find is which of the two brass fittings included in the kit that screw into the end of the grease tube is the correct one for my coach? If the big ones don't fit then try the small ones. On a '78 it should be the big ones. Follow the Kosier posting. He's probably the one who made them.

I would add the following to Gary K's procedure below. After running the 11/32 drill in to clean out any burrs I would squirt WD-40
into the hole to flush out any metal that didn't get trapped by the drill flutes and follow that with compressed air.
I would suggest you use Valvoline Synpower or Caterpillar Desert Gold (or any other) grease with molybdenum in it. Pump it in until
you see copious amounts of fresh clean grease coming out both ends of the bogie arm pivot points.
