I put some Stabil in the GMC back in October last year and that gas is still in the tank.

How long will it do its job?

If it were my coach, I'd put in maybe a half dose for insurance. It would probably be a good idea to then start 'er up and drive her for a few miles. Run the genset, too, to get stabilized fuel through that system.

Should be good for a year. I always double dose anything that is going to sit for a while. When I got my coach the PO had treated the gas and it had sat for 5 years. I would not have run it through the GMC but I did pump it out and ran about 15 gallons through my old lawn mower. Seemed to run fine. I did run it through a filter first.

In the early 90's I dosed the tank to my '77 corvette, fogged the engine and removed the battery. Nine years later it started with a fresh battery. No ill effects.

Probably luckier than usual, still have the toy.

I put it in Double Trouble's tanks every year in October since I've owned it and I've never had a problem using the gas the
following June.
