I got my first report back from Blackstone. For background:I don't really know any history on my 78 PB w/ 403. I know it had a lot of work done in the 90s as there we a lot of upgrades, but I don't know what if anything was ever done to the engine. I've had it going on two years. Coach has 132,000 miles. I had an overheat I reported on here last fall.

I had maybe 3 or so hours run time, and maybe 550 miles on this oil sample. I posted this on the facebook group as well. Aluminum, Iron and Tin are high based on the "universal averages", whatever that means. Is this the average for 403s that blackstone has sampled?

Runs good, gets decent mileage (est 8-10 depending on how hard I push it), has plenty of power, no weird sounds, excessive oil consumption, etc... I was pleased with the "no coolant" report.

OK I understand the universal averages now as I read the report explanation on their website. Seems a little skewed with know how large their sample is and the mileage of those vehicles. If the majority of 403s samples are somewhat recent rebuilds, broken in, I'd think trace element averages would be fairly low. It would seem to be a little more meaningful comparing high mileage to high mileage.

Blackstone is sampling and comparing GMC motorhome engines as a category. Your comparison numbers are to other GMCs.
