I used it on an SOB I used to have on the motor cover that had nothing but shag carpet, the noise and heat difference was well worth the effort. Heat went to about nothing at all and the noise was cut back to where you could hear the radio. Just haven't motivated myself to use it on the TZE beast yet.

Here is the stuff you want to use: (Microfoil)

http://www.nofp.com/wordpress/products/microfoil

We did a GMC group buy from them 8 or 10 years ago. I did a tour of their plant at the time I picked up a bunch of rolls of this stuff. My GMC was packed full of rolls of this stuff.

It is flexible foam rather than the bubble stuff and it will not support combustion.

Give them a call and they will send you samples.

They will ship it to you via UPS.

Just ordered some MicroFoil 4'x125', I called and they were very helpful, offered 2nds (foil facing has some wrinkles)for 25% discount. She confirmed use as a carpet underlayment. Looks like I'll have enough to do the Palm Beach and my pool equipment/storage shed. I'll post update after install, but for now getting ready for next week's annual Pismo Beach camping trip.

Life's good in a GMC MH!

Looks like Ken B. called it correct.  The EZ Cool folks described their product as similar in function to MicroFoil and advised to buy on price and quantity needed.  So if you can use the larger rolls that MicroFoil sells then that is the way to go.  Thanks John for mentioning the pricing on 2nds.
