Is there some type of slick-um that will help the windows slide in the channels?
Bed room windows are extreeemly difficult to open. Channel rubber/felt liner is in tact- doesn't need replacement; just lube.

Try removing the top and bottom glass channels( hard plastic) and cleaning them with detergent and a scrub brush. They can get a buildup of dust which shrinks the groove the window slides in.

I do what Todd does, I use compressed air and clean the channels very well.
I use an aerosol dryslyde lube and spray the crap out of the felts. When
the propellant evaporates, it leaves a residue that is some kind of a dry
lube. Works well for me. One thing to check on the large sliders is the
metal edge that wraps around the movable window. When the bottom of the
window felt wears, it allows the window with the metal edge to ride lower
in the channel and the metal edge drags on the felt, making it very hard to
push. It is a sign that your window channels are worn in the bottom, even
though the sides may still be tight.

Related to this, how do you get a sliding screen back in
place? I have a 74 coach and one of the screens has popped
out of the frame and I cannot figure out how to get the
stupid back in so that it will stay.

Pull one screen slide out(top or bottom) install screen then move screen all the way to one side. Install the guide that you took out while moving the screen back and forth a little.

what works really well on window felts/slides:
sil-glyde. from napa.

was told about on my full size jeep forum. I lubed up the felts and tracks on my power windows of the grand wagoneer. and it went from thinking I needed all new power window motors, to like it came from factory. very good stuff for window felts to get windows to slide easily.
there are other brands of it.

There should be a plastic slide channel that the screen rides in. If your screen fell out you are missing one or both of them.

Keep in mind that early coaches have different windows... and screens than the later coaches.
IIRC: The early screens have plastic clips in the edges that apply tension to keep the windows in the channel. No, it doesn't work that well.

If that is one of the upgrades for 77 then me happy. That's what my 77 has. I know for a fact that the screen will not stay there long without them ;)
