Quick thoughts on your dilemma:
1. Is the land close enough to move/park your GMCs there?
2. Are either livable so you can "temporarily" become full timers?
I know when I retire in a few years I plan on parking one in the North and
the other in the South on lots with a 24X24 bath/kitchen/garage combination
and GMC carport. Then travel be air between the two depending on the weather
(once/twice a year).

Nah, the land is 100 miles away, at least a day's walk from ANYWHERE,
far from main lines of travel. It would make a nice bolthole, but when
I'm out of debt I can get a nicer retreat. :) I work in Jackson, the
state capital.
