I've got it for my water line along mounted on a retractable reel which makes it easy to deply. What I notice is that with a 45 psi pressure reducer where it attaches to the hosebib in the RV park, the pressure at any reasonable flow in the RV is not satisfactory. There may be another cause that I've not yet identified.

I used PEX. If you ever need to repair on the road, you can usually find PEX at HD or Lowes now. It is also made for this.

You need to use a hose that is rated for water service. Any rubber base hose will deteriorate over time and you will be replacing it on a regular basis and possibly ant an inopportune time. Use a proven water hose such as PEX. You will put it in one time and it will survive cold and freezing too! Our 30' stretch has PEX thru out and it is easy to install.

Peter,
I understand what you are trying to do, but there are some points that have been missed.
The hose used for a diver's air supply is not "garage duty" air hose. It is different as it is compounded without any toxic materials. This is also what makes "drinking water service" hose stock different than others.
Another problem is that all elastomers have some water absorption. This is why you will see some hoses swell and soften when used with unintended fluids.
Lastly, is the problem that all elastomers creep (change shape with load over time). This is why a leaking connection can be corrected by tightening the clamp. That is why the worst clamps are the best. Those D... spring hose clamps (Corbin) keep clamp load as the material creeps. A screw hose clamp won't do this unless you get the big-dollar USCG approved like constant tension clamps.
