As an architect that has designed buildings in Alberta for over 30 years (the GMC is the smallest renovated space i have done) I can tell you that spray foam insulation is by FAR the best way to get the best job done. The heat loss is mostly through air leakage around ill fitting structural members and insulation. The foam gets into all the nooks and crannies and seals tight against the structural members. Now the large single pane windows in the GMC is another matter.

The best feasible solution for those large single pane windows is cellular
blinds, lined with aluminum foil, and surrounded by U-shape valences.

I drilled holes in my walls and filled them with tons of foam. I used 5 cans just today and that was only for under the drivers side most rear window, and just the area left of that on the lower part of the speaker. I think the foam works super, but it takes a ton.
Speaking of it sealing things I was shocked seeing it leak on to my generator. I hadn't a clue of the large leak there!

I pity you or anyone else who tries to remove that interior wall in the future. The PO of mine used just a bit of foam in the drivers side interior panel. It was almost a no come out item after that. Still have to do the pass side and hope he used less than the drivers side, or none.

Photo of what is behind that wall....

The wiring to the light in the generator compartment has an access hole through the lower aluminum sheet. The aluminum sheet had old insulation between it and the wall for a seal. Your new foam may have leaked through there.

I appreciate it. There aren't wires behind my wall in my GMC. My generator was replaced in 2001 and the wires aren't routed like that anymore. My seating was also all modifed and wires rerouted. I didn't realize however there was ever a light in that compartment for the onan. Perhaps when it was removed that is the hole that the foam came through. That would make a lot of sense!
