My beltline seems to be detaching at the rear for about 5 feet. It appears to be held on with some sort of clip that has likely broken. The rubber portion is firmly attached to the chrome strip. What's the best way to reattach it?

Steve is suggesting you pull it off and clean the mess behind it then replace.
Which opens another can-o-worms!

I just want to replace the clips that hold the trim on. Can I do that without removing the rubber portion? It's dusty behind the trim, but thanks to the AZ dryness, not too much visible corrosion.

Randy,

On my 73 the trim line is held on by screws. In the front fiberglass portions there are actually molded in screw locations for attachment. No clips behind mine.
