Good Luck, I have been looking for two of them for a while now.
I found some once, but they were not cheap and I had to pass on them.

How long ago was that?
I think it is hit or miss when it comes to someone having one available.

Hi folks,

I need two window locks as well - both for "body" windows, not for the cab.

Actually all I really need is the bent piece of metal that keeps handle/lock mechanism on.

Any ideas where to get them?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,

Welcome to the GMC net.

As Roy suggested, Jim Kanomata, at Applied GMC in Fremont Ca may be able to help. The window latch hardware changed over the years of production -- your 78 model coach window latches should be available.
This week Jim is in Ok for a GMC rally -- but someone in his office can help.

did you notice the "parting out 73" ad just a few posts down from this one?
and aren't all the window locks the same on a 73? so the toll window lock and the rear slider would have the same size and hole location?

Yes you are right Adam, the window locks from the early GMC's are the same as the later toll window locks.

cheers and beers

Forget the 73. When I looked at it I checked for window latches. They had already been canabalized. I did get the front bumper to replace the driver's side of mine. Some dense tow guy put a hook on the bumper to pull it out of a shed and put a big "V" in the top of it.
