Am trying to locate an original style clear plastic roof vent cover for my coach. The one on the coach is original and is starting to look like junk (fading/cracking).
The crank assembly to open it is working OK, it's just the cover that needs replacing.
Am hoping that someone has a cover 'laying around' or perhaps a complete assembly that they removed and want to get rid of.
I'm familiar with the "Fantastic Vents" styles available but would prefer to replace my cover with an "original" type if I can find one. - If not, I guess I'll have to go with one of the "Fantastic's" available, but would prefer not to.
Thanks -

I wonder if one of the headlight lens cleaning kits would polish out that yellow? They worked great on my cars. Won't help the cracking.

Im like you i dont know if one of the three covers avail will fit. I like the double crank powered vents. I used to have the same kind in my Holiday Rambler but i never had to change one out.

You might find a replacement at Camping World or any RV supply place. Last year I drove off in my SOB with the vent wide open and of course, blew it off. Bought a replacement at CW and it slipped right in, used the original hardware and mechanism. The SOB is an '86 so not new.

Steve, the vents and covers you reference were STRAWSINE vents. In their time they were the best vent on the market. Someone else mentioned Holiday Rambler and they were in fact using them exclusively. I believe the company that was manufacturing them went out of business in the early to mid eighties. I do remember another company started making fiberglass copies of the lid but they were solid and did not let any light in. I may have one of those in my old stock and I will take a look over the weekend and if I do have one I will get back to you... Jim
