Just an update here in Florida. Currently anyone coming to Florida from the NYC // NJ area will be quarantined for 14 days. Orange County, FL (Orlando area) goes into stay in place order for at least the next 14 days, starting Thursday at mid-night.

Makes sense as one does not know if you have it or not during the early
stages.
I am servicing critical places on our air filter side so traveling around
the Bay Area.
Very little traffic.

Here in Oregon, things are beyond weird. City streets here in the Capitol
City are eerily quiet. No one out and about. No pedestrian traffic, or
bicycles, or autos. No homeless campers lying around in doorways, or in
tents on the sidewalks in the downtown core. But, the maintence boom trucks
are out servicing traffic signals as usual. As are the parking meter
patrols.
I had a blood test scheduled yesterday morning at the Salem Hospital
Cardiac Rehab center at 7:30 a.m. They called me on the phone, and
rescheduled for 9:30. When I arrived at the parking lot, they had a triage
setup going. Drive up, roll down your window, stick out your hand and a
health care worker in tyvek scrubs and down coats, (it's 40° outside) in
face masks approach your car, scrub your hands, perform the needle stick
test, and send you on your way. Faster than the drive thru coffee shops.
Someone called me on my cellphone a while later with results and reschedule
time for my next appointment. Kinda reminded me of a M.A.S.H. unit.
No bars, sit down restaurants, non essential businesses are open.
State parks as well as National Parks in the state are all closed. Gas
Stations are open, as are truck stops along the Interstate.
Then, there is COSTCO. WOW! Customers lined up around the building,
separated by state approved "social distance " of 6 feet. They only let 20
or 30 in the store at a time. Oregonians are too stupid to pump their own
gasoline, so they have a swarm of gas jockeys manning the fueling center.
Bizarre! Cherry trees in full bloom at the Capitol grounds, but no one is
out taking pictures.
Kinda glad to get back home. It's semi-normal here. Chores to do. GMC
stuff to take care of. Stay well folks.

I have a diagnostic range of 2.0 to 3.0. I was 2.8. All is good. That is a
range to determine how thin my blood is. When you take the blood thinner
that my cardiologist prefers for me to use, which is warfarin, it has to be
monitored regularly. Diet, exercise, alcohol intake, stress all affect the
score. Too thick, and blood platelets collect on the moving parts of my
mechanical heart valve. Too thin, and I can bleed profusely. So, it is a
constant, lifelong procedure. When I stay in range, they test every 6 weeks
or so. When I don't, they test weekly, or more frequently as required.
A spectre that constantly hangs around to remind me of my mortality.
But it serves me as incentive to get off my butt and maintain my daily
routine of proper diet, exercise, and staying within my set routine.
Regular hours for sleep and meals, taking my meds on time and not
forgetting to take them. Necessary Routine. Now part of my life.
Old age is not for the faint of heart, it seems.

Well, I do Bialogical Safty Cabnet Test and Certification and been busy
with that as well as educating faclity people on how to upgrade their
system.
Traffic is great , hardly any cars and few trucks.
Should we get stopped, I have all the tags and ID to validate my travel.
The grocery stores are congested.
Our toilet paper are the Jumbo rolls and will not fit the home unit.
No, Jumbo does no better if you have Big ass.

I live in Navarre (about 25 mi west of Destin). All Florida beaches and state parks are closed. Vacation rentals are shut down for the next two weeks. If is getting more restrictive by the day. I hope that by May we are past this for all of our sakes. We have no store closures and gas stations are open.

Good ol' Navarre Beach. The only place we had to get off the sand and onto the highway when we rode motorcycles down the beach from Ft Walton beach to Panama City in the early 60s. The place has changed.
It's quiet here (N Ga mountains). I go to one of the lake parks to walk the dogs each day, as long as it's empty. I went by yesterday morning, only a cop car. Yesterday afternoon, bunches of people. I suspect stupidity is gonna be its own best reward

Everybody is taking their boats out or riding motorcycles to the country. I spent all weekend working. The bright side is we can bbq and hang by the pool ( by ourselves). At least I live two blocks from a grocery store and gas station.

Ken B.

HI Ken, Hey, thanks for asking. Yes we did. Left daughters home in Jacksonville Tuesday morning with the intention of taking 3 days to get to NW Wisconsin. First night spent just west of Chattanooga in Marion County park. Wednesday our intention was to drive to somewhere around Bloomington Il. As we approached that area we started looking for a place to stop. All parks closed, Walmart only letting Walmart trucks overnight. Truck stops and rest areas packed with trucks. We just kept going thinking maybe we'd find something in southern Wisconsin. We ended up doing a 16hr drive home. Just set the cruise at 70mph and kept going. Coach preformed flawlessly. Only stopped for fuel and used nitrel gloves and wipes at the pumps and handling CC. We had our own bathroom, and a refrigerator full of food, so no need to go into stores. Now home, Wisconsin has asked people coming from hot spots around the country to self isolate. So far our only trips away from the house are to get TP, milk, medications and other needed supplies. The down side...we miss our Florida daughter and the grandkids.
