Do I need a 10ply tire? I am converting all my units to 16" tires and trying to find the cheapest out there. Once installed these units will be traveling a max of 75miles a year and never get above 30mph. They are going to rot off before the tread wears away. If Ive got to go with 10ply the even with a fleet account at tire rack Im looking at a $100. With the cost of the wheel and shipping and mounting Im not saving that much over just biting the bullet and buying Firestone 16.5 transforce @ 154. Im just looking for a way to not spend $19k on tires. Am I fighting an unwinable battle here?
