To All:
I wasn't there but had I been I would have cheated if necessary to make sure Ken B. recieved this award.

Over the past 9 years he has answered many of my requests for online info and help.

But when I was potentially stranded in Knoxville on a cross country trip last Sept. Ken answered the call on a minute's notice and dropped what he was doing to deliver a Manny tranny from Indianopolis to Chuck Boyd's in Knoxville to get me back on the road.

Yhat kind of dedication from volunteers is what keeps these GMC Motorhomes alive.

Congratulations Ken B. and Thank you and Chuck Boyd for the hospitality and for bailing me out in a difficult situation a long way from home.

Might as well retire the award. Ken sets the bar so high that other recipients may well pale in comparison. Well deserved Ken, thanks for all that you do.

Thanks every one.

This is the first time I have been on the net since we got here so I did not know about this thread until just now.

It was kind of funny how this all happened. I missed the exit off of the Turner tollway and ended up adding about 55 miles to my trip getting in late Sunday night. (I hate toll roads) We got here just in time for dinner. After dinner Emery picked up the microphone and started talking. With my hearing I could not understand anything he was saying. The room sounded like a bunch of low tone echos to me.

I was sitting in the back row and decided if this went on much longer that I would just slip out the back door. No one would notice because they were all busy listening to Emery and whatever Emery was saying.

I almost left.

Then I heard Emery say my name and I thought now what? He called me up front and during the award I was not sure what it was for so I just went along with his presentation. It was only later after I read the posting on the rally bulletin board and talked to Emery in person that I figured it all out.

Thanks everyone for the recognition and thanks to Colonel Ken for nominating me.
