Some comments covered voltage issues with my fuel pumps., and driving a 40 year old GMC. ( Still not home. ) Checked voltage parked with engine running, and with my Digi panel on the road. As to all the fuel pumps that failed. They all ran. Just stopped pumping gas. As to 40 years. I expected, and had issues with electrical components after the setting next to the cornfield for 20 years. The real frustration has been with LIFETIME parts that kept failing. Now the furnace doesn't work. That's fine. As I was surprised that it worked at all in the first place. Haven't replaced the gas water heater. YET. So maybe I should call Jim K at Applied to get both from him. I'm to the point that I'm coming up on having $40,000 in this 78 Royale with no labor cost included. I will have a GMC with all new parts in it. Now $40,000 could get me into a USED SOB ( some other brand ) Then I would be able to dump more cash into that thing. So in reality. I have a new GMC for $40,000. That is built JUST for our NEEDS. And it IS a HOBBY. RIGHT?

Went and did my normal pre drive check. No brake lights. Found that the issue was the 39 year old brake light switch. Replaced that switch. Headed off to Elkhart. The Howell EFI worked PERFECTLY all the way. Great mileage. Got to within 45 miles of the GMCMI rally. The new brake light switch from China failed. Oh well. Got 500 miles out of it. Went to lower the right rear air bags to take a shower. T then the two compressor system quit working. Then during the night. Our furnace stopped working. I expected some of this because this GMC sat next to a cornfield in Iowa from Oct of 1995 to Oct of 2015. But now it appears that I've pissed off the electrical god EL. That has to be my problem. RIGHT? Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale Mouse House
