78 Royale 26 foot finished by Coachman from a Tansmode, right side kitchen and left side bath/ dry shower.

I am having a problem removing the dash panel to the right of the drivers position, as I need to get to the back of the booster among other things. It is one piece from top to bottom and seems to be separate of the glove box trim and I have all visible screws removed, but it won't come loose and appears as if it is glued down. Is there a trick to this or is it fixed?
I got the lower panel under the steering wheel off and the top cover behind the dash, it seems someone was in there before as the three plastic supports that come from the defrost panel to the back of the dash were all broken loose at the top, which I will have to repair. There also appears to be all kinds of non factory wiring done which I will have to trace.

Yeh you will have to hunt. Sirum sells a replacement for the part that has the braces on it, in fiberglass made by Mike Sadlon. Give them a call, they're in Okechobee FL.

There are screws along the front of the dash where it meets the windshield. It's hard to get a good bite on them with a screwdriver. I was able to remove some but had to chisel the plastic on a couple that wouldn't break loose.

We have a 78' Royale. The dash needed work so I wanted to have it recovered. The person that was go \ing to do the recovering said he would like it taken out of the vehicle. So I took it out. BIG mistake. It was brittle from being in the sun for many years. It came out in about 50 pieces. Every time I bent it even a little or bumped it, plink...crack...something broke off of it. I tried gluing, glassing it. The more I tried to fix it, the more that broke off of it. Was not repairable, so I had to buy a aftermarket dash. That was a real challenge making it fit and setting up the gauges. Turned out to be a HUGE job with a lot of labor to get a dash back.

IMO, don't go there. Do whatever you can to avoid removing that dash. As far as getting to the bolts that hold the booster, I cut a hole in the dash big enough to get my hand and a wrench in. Then made a friction fit "plug" to fit the hole that matched the dash. Now removing the booster nuts is as simple as pulling the plug and working a wrench. Just my experience with an aged out dash.

Oh...BTW, this is probably a good time to tell people that If you are going to replace the windshields, when the windshields are out, take the time to remove all of screws holding the dash to the body that reside up at the windshield. They are Philips screws. Remove them, and replace with a SS screw of the same size and place a little white lube on the threads. Then tighten them snug only. Some day if you need to take those screws out, when the windshields are in, backing the screws out at the windshield angle, they will come out quite easy. JMHO

I didn't see any upper screws, it appears to be composite top with foam underneath and glued down. Is the upper part attached to the black plastic that the defroster vents are in and are the screws in that part directly beneath the windshield? also the bottom half also appears to be glued down, I can get a putty knife to slide in top and bottom and can't feel any screws, only adhesive and foam backing. AM I correct about the glove box not being attached to the dash?
In the even, I cannot get the thing loose, do you have a picture of where to cut the hole or holes for the booster bolts and how big are they.

Bob Stone says you can get at the bolts by removing the lower dash cover below steering wheel and then removing the metal cross brace by drilling out the rivets (screws used for reinstall) and then cutting part of the plastic panel away where the brake peddle tubes is to gain access. He also states that you can use a hairpin clip instead of the cotter key to speed up the process.

Here is a link which I can't seem to make live which shows a 2 hole cut to access the bolts.

I'd still like to know from anyone out there about the right side dash removal and if there is an aftermarket replacement for it like the drivers side.
